It's not often that you get to wipe the slate clean and start fresh, so we are super excited to introduce everyone to our new soap model. But before I dive in and tell you about all the awesome things our new soaps offer I would like to talk about why we are changing.
When we first started making soaps, we took a holistic approach. Our oils were infused with herbs from our garden and scented with essential oils. Our soaps were crunchy looking, but they were pure and good for you! When we decided to try selling our soap, we got a little distracted. Google is so amazing, top that with Pinterest and Instagram and the creative process becomes endless. There is glitter, colours and scents oh my! I HAVE TO TRY THEM ALL!! And we did. But something was missing.
The principle behind why we started making soap was there, but it just didn't match with what we were doing. It felt a little empty. So we are returning to the beginning. We are matching our product to our values, to what is important to us and our family and I know that all of these changes will be good for you and your family as well.
Let me introduce you to our new ingredient list!
Our soaps are now made out of 100% pure coconut oil!
Yes really - we aren't cutting it with anything else. Our soap is creamy, the bubbles are plenty, it will actually leave you moisturized and last a whole lot longer than traditional soaps. Coconut oil is so great for your skin, and it has a lesser environmental impact that palm oil.
Every bar of soap has an ounce of coconut cream!
We L-O-V-E Coconut cream!! It adds to the already creamy soap, it helps create even more bubbles, it also acts like a moisturizer. Coconut cream is full of essential fats that your skin can soak up! Every bar has a full ounce of pure goodness.
We add clay!
There is no need to go to a spa for fancy treatment when you use our soap!
We get our clay from all over the world Brazil, France and Australia. Adding clay is great for many reasons. It helps hold onto fragrance for a longer time it also adds "slip" to soap. That means that our lather is denser making it easier to shave. Also different clay's offer different properties. The clay that we add to our Black Beauty is from France and is believed to help draw out impurities while providing essential minerals to your skin.
We use essential oils for our scents!
We use pure therapeutic grade essential oils, not only for the scents but for the holistic properties. Are you going out for a hike try our Voyageur soap. It is scented with essential oils that are believed to help prevent bug bites. Do you need an extra boost in the morning to get going? Try our Double Mint soap which has a blend that will wake you up and keep you fresh.
We use plant based colours!
All of our colours come from nature. We make our own infusions to create a rainbow of colours. Annatto, Alkanet, Chlorophyll and Activated Charcoal are just a few of the herbs and plants that we love to use.
We are so proud of the soaps that we create because they are now more than just pretty. They are holistic, pure and so good for you. Our hearts, values and ideals match this amazing product and that is a GREAT feeling.
Our soaps are good for you, your babies, your family members and the environment.
